This Blog was started with the vision that this space is a place to pause, reflect and enjoy God’s presence through good conversation, creative expression, and the simple acts of reading and seeing.
The host of these proceedings is Ben Acton, a ordained PC(USA) minister living and working in Concord, North Carolina, and lifelong Presbyterian. Other labels that fit and that he wears with pride: husband (To Rachel), dog-owner (of Lucy), Auburn fan, comic book geek, and (soon to be) father (to Nate). It is duly noted that the opinions and ideas expressed here do not reflect all PC(USA) members or ministers, Concordians, husbands, dog owners, Auburn fans, comic book geeks, and/or fathers.
This is because, “Practical Sabbath Keeping” is not just Ben’s site–this place belongs to all those who read it, comment on it, and find among the posts some helpful tidbit that brings God’s presence alive to them in some way.
